Bringing Lakeside Pavilions Back to Life in Barryville, NY
This week our crew has been working in Barryville, New York, in a beautiful lake community tucked into Sullivan County. The project: sanding and staining the covers on the community’s pavilions.
Outdoor wood takes a beating. Sun, rain, and snow slowly dry it out and fade its color, and over time the surface starts to look tired and weathered. Pavilions near the water see even more moisture, so keeping the wood protected matters for how long it lasts, not just how it looks.
We started by sanding the wood down to remove the worn, weathered surface and give the new finish a clean base. Then we applied a fresh, rich stain that brings out the natural warmth of the wood while adding a protective layer against the elements.
The result is pavilions that look cared for again and are ready for many more seasons of lakeside gatherings, picnics, and summer afternoons in the shade.
Is your outdoor wood looking worn?
Pavilions, decks, porches, and pergolas all need a little care to stay beautiful and protected. If yours could use some attention, we’d love to help.
